csi

CSI Ltd is an award-winning IBM and SAP Solutions Provider that offers a complete suite of technical solutions from full Managed Services through to training. Established in 1983, CSI quickly developed a reputation for creating and implementing innovative technology using advanced products from their vendor partners and in-house expertise.

CSI Ltd was acquired by Blackhawk Capital in October 2012, and CSI Ltd is now wholly owned by the CSI Group Ltd.

In addition, the CSI Group, has now acquired the following Companies as part of the “buy and build” strategy, which have all been rebranded and fully integrated into the CSI Group

SysMicro Ltd

SysMicro provided integrated IT solutions through their highly skilled, technical team. Delivering an array of tailored services and support to all sectors from Enterprise Clients to SMEs.

SysMicro was acquired by Blackhawk Capital in 2012 and IT Director; Sandip Channa, who was a founder of Sysmicro, is now a Main Board Director of CSI Group, running the Managed Services, Solutions Division.

K3

The CSI Group acquired the SAP Business Objects division of K3 in May 2013 to increase its product offering and expertise in this area

TAH

The SAP BusinessObjects business of TAH was acquired by The CSI Group in November 2013 to enhance the customer base which was increasing rapidly since the K3 acquisition.

CVSI

The virtualisation and security specialists were acquired in May 2013 to increase CSI’s relationships with new vendors in these fields.

Imtech

In December 2013, the UK IBM division of this Systems Integrator was acquired by CSI Group. This provided a significant number of new customers and senior staff that have joined the CSI Group Management team.

Orbital Integrated Solutions Ltd

Orbital IBM’s Software Business Partner of the year in 2013 and IBM’s UK Technical Excellence Award in June of 2014 was acquired by CSI Group in July 2014. This has significantly enhanced the IBM Software capability within CSI Group.

Foster MacCallum Limited

Foster MacCallum Limited is a specialist in partner recruitment and management, matching Vendors and resellers across the globe, working for many of the mainstream vendors.

Blackhawk Capital invested in Foster MacCallum in 2011.

 

Previous Transactions

Teksys Limited

A Microsoft Large Account Reseller (LAR) that provided complete solutions including architectural services, provision of hardware & software and professional services.

Blackhawk Capital purchased Teksys as a distressed business in 2007 and successfully returned the business to profit before a successful exit to Dimension Data plc in January 2010

Roylesoft Limited

Formerly known as Chronicle Solutions Limited, Blackhawk Capital purchased the shares from three Institutional Investors in 2008, and organised the sale of the intellectual assets of the company to a US company in exchange for shares.

This established a clean exit for the Institutional Investors, enabled Blackhawk Capital to secure an equity position whilst pursuing exit options and at the same time resolving all outstanding governance issues.

The US Company was subsequently acquired by McAfee, which enabled Blackhawk Capital to achieve a return on its investment, in 2012.

GlassHouse

GlassHouse AG based near Zurich, was one of Switzerland’s key Managed Service and Data Centre service providers.

A subsidiary of Glasshouse Inc, Boston, Glasshouse AG was acquired by Blackhawk Capital, in 2011. After some corporate restructuring and the disposal of some non-core assets, Glasshouse AG established strong growth in the Swiss market.

It was subsequently sold to Infoniqa, a Swiss Systems Integrator in 2013.
